Inspirados en el concepto de ‘Paradise Pickleball’, en Pikapok hemos fusionado elementos de la isla, capturando la radiante energía del sol y las elegantes formas de las conchas marinas. Nuestra propuesta es el fruto de la armoniosa unión entre los sonidos y los elementos distintivos de este paradisíaco lugar.

Symbol

The symbol originates from the letter "P," drawing inspiration from the distinctive sound of playing pickleball and the shape of a snail shell. When a pickleball strikes a paddle, it typically produces a "pop" or "snap" sound—one of the sport's recognizable and satisfying elements.

Idea

The inspiration for the name came from the Mayan game Pok-ta-pok—an ancient Mesoamerican ball game of a ceremonial and ritual nature that the Maya played for over 3,000 years. Its name derives from an onomatopoeic word imitating the sound of the heavy rubber ball bouncing off stone walls and the players' bodies.

With two years of operations, we are an established club in the Riviera Maya.

What started as a hobby quickly turned into a passion. And that passion eventually became my profession. My arrival in Cozumel began as a job opportunity, but I found much more than that. I arrived with a clear idea: to help the sport grow in the region.

INSTRUCTOR & STAFF

I have been part of the team since the club's inception. Over time, I discovered a passion and a special aptitude for pickleball. What started as a job gradually became a very important part of my life. Today, I have the opportunity to teach and share with others everything this sport has given me.

BARTENDER

Wally

Experience in specialty coffee and as a bartender/beverage specialist since 2019. Competed in the 4th Puebla Barista Championship (2024). Trained under Carlos de la Torre and Manuel Díaz. My athletic background includes calisthenics, judo, and jiu-jitsu, among others. I joined Pikapok in 2023, where I fell in love with pickleball and the club's great community.

El deporte no es solo lo que hago, es la forma en la que entiendo la vida. La natación y el fisicoculturismo, me enseñaron el significado de disciplina, sacrificio y constancia. En 2025 descubro Pikapok, en donde no solo encontré un deporte increíble, sino un hogar y una comunidad que me abrazó desde el primer momento.

The courts were in great shape, the space well maintained, with a seating area to rest between sets or watch other matches. The owner was so kind and accommodating. He encouraged us to return to join a rotation and play with others during our stay.

 Trustindex verifica que la fuente original de la reseña sea Google. My husband, son and I all played pickleball at Pikapok while on vacation for spring break. There is open play in the morning and early evening, with players of all levels. The coaches strive to match players of similar levels so the play can be competitive, but in a friendly way. All players and coaches that I met were friendly and welcoming. Spanish and English are spoken by most. I brought a paddle from home but my son and husband were able to borrow paddles. The only negatives were that many of the balls were cracked and there were no dividers between courts.

If you are visiting from outside Cozumel, I suggest bringing balls with you to share bc I couldn’t find pickleballs to purchase on the island.

1 court's length is great, however its sides were a little tight

Other 3 courts were very good for room

Open courts play available...well run by youngsters...professional and friendly

Will return...bar is available for soft drinks and water

Lots of selection for tshirts...good value

500 pesos per hr for 4 people for an hr...good value...opened 7 to noon and again at 4 to 8ish
