Between 2017 and 2018, I started working as a ball boy at a tennis club. Shortly after, I discovered pickleball at one of the first courts in Mexico. At the time, I didn't know I was encountering a sport that would end up changing my life.

My competitive personality and my challenging spirit ...led me to get involved in competitive play just months after I started. What began as a hobby quickly turned into a passion. And that passion eventually became my profession.

During the early years of pickleball in Mexico, I traveled across various states, following the sport's growth and competing in different tournaments. I was part of a generation that witnessed the development of pickleball practically from its inception.
Along the way, I secured numerous titles and victories in high-level tournaments across Mexico, facing some of the country's best players. One of the most significant moments of my career came when I won the Mexican Pickleball Federation's first national tournament.
Over the years, tournaments multiplied, the level of competition rose, and each competition became a new opportunity to put myself to the test.

My current level (DUPR) is 5.0.
A level built through years of competition, training, experience, and thousands of hours on the court. To me, a number doesn't fully define a player. But it does represent the journey taken to get there.

One of my most recent competitive results was at the Copa México, where I achieved:
4th place — Singles
4th place — Doubles
3rd place — MLP

These results represent part of a journey built over years of competition. Yet, my story is not defined by a single tournament. I have had the opportunity to win numerous high-level tournaments across Mexico, gaining experience against a variety of playing styles, opponents, and competitive settings.

Every victory taught me something. Every defeat did too.
My arrival in Quintana Roo began as a job opportunity. But I found much more than that. I arrived with years of experience in pickleball and a clear idea: to help the sport grow in the region.

That is how I came to Pikapok, where I began to get involved not only as a player but also as a coach, promoter, and project developer. I wanted to share what I had learned over years of competition and help more people have the opportunity to discover this sport.

Over time, I realized that my purpose within pickleball could be much greater than my own competitive career. That is why projects began to emerge, such as:

YM HIGH PERFORMANCE
A project focused on the player's holistic development and the pursuit of high performance.

YM ACADEMY JR
A vision focused on developing new generations, cultivating talent, and bringing pickleball to children and young people.

My goal is to use everything I have learned over the years to develop players, share knowledge, and help pickleball continue to grow in Mexico.

My next challenge.
Today I have a very clear goal: “Improve my ranking.”
I want to keep competing, face increasingly better players, and discover just how far I can take my own level. I don’t know exactly where my limit lies, and that is precisely why I want to keep searching for it. I want to see what I am capable of. But I also want that journey to inspire and help others who are just starting out on their own.

Pickleball has taught me much more than technique and strategy.
It has taught me to stay calm under pressure.
To think clearly when everything is happening fast.
To control my emotions.
To accept mistakes.
Time to compete.
Time to be patient.
To keep moving forward when things don't turn out as expected.
And, above all, it taught me that a passion can become a way of life when you are willing to dedicate time, discipline, and commitment to it.

The player I am today is the product of all the matches I’ve played, all the places I’ve visited, all the people I’ve met, and all the times I decided to keep going.

I'm still playing today.
I'm still competing.
I'm still learning.
I am still teaching.
I keep building.

Because my goal isn't just to be a better player. I want to be part of the growth of pickleball in Mexico and leave something behind that continues to grow even after my own match is over.

My story began on one of the first courts in Mexico; now I want to help build the next ones.
